Description ( 1 )
-
Peter Wertmann is a Swiss fashion designer and multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersection of vulnerability and protection through sculptural garment design. Rooted in the cold-weather sports culture of the Swiss Alps and shaped by the discipline of military service, Wertmann’s collections delve into themes of survival, memory, and identity within a rapidly shifting cultural and ecological landscape.
Through material experimentation, architectural tailoring, and a strong conceptual foundation, his work redefines fashion as both a wearable shelter and a form of expressive language. His garments embody the tension between individual freedom and systemic control, serving as powerful reflections of the human condition.
